Isis Fashion Awards
Isis Fashion Awards is an annual fashion show/award ceremony, held each year in the The Netherlands. During the event accessory designers are allowed to showcase their designs and awards a granted to the best three accessory designers. The event is exclusively created for accessory designers, meaning no clothes are displayed on the catwalk. The award ceremony is broadcast on the Dutch television station Salto.[1][2] [3]
Former attendees include André Dongelmans and Sylvana Simons and Ruby Ketting Olivier, the Ambassador of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands.[4]

History
The first Isis Fashion Awards was held on 10 December 2022 in the Netherlands. The name of the event Isis is inspired by the ancient Egyptian goddess of fertility and was also known as the goddess of motherhood, magic, death, healing, and rebirth.[5] The event was founded by Rwandese born Jan-Willem Breure. According to interviews Mr. Breure wanted to create more diversity in the fashion industry and create more opportunities for accessory designers.
Accessories & Accessory Designers
The Isis Fashion Awards is the first fashion show in the Netherlands exclusively focused on accessories. Meaning the models do not wear clothes, they only wear accessories. IFA focusses on 12 types of fashion items. Shoes, bags, glasses, jewelry, watches, stockings, socks, gloves, scarves, belts, hats and masks. According to interviews, the founder Jan-Willem Breure refers accessory designers at the “Underdogs” He believes that many accessory designers feel undervalued and “overlooked” because the vast majority of the the attention and fame go to the clothing designers.
This distinctive format allows fashion designers to showcase their designs in a focused way. For example, no longer are accessory designers forced to work with clothing designers if they want to display their collections. With our format the accessory designs can take center stage and receive focused attention from the audience.[6]
Judges
The Isis Fashion Awards has four judges. Swinda van Dijk, Gary Symor, Paulina Tsvetanova and Marjorie Fernandes. Originally Bjorn van den Berg and Vicente Januario was slated to judge, but due to scheduling he was replaced by Marjorie Fernandes. Similar to project catwalk, there is jury designer interaction. After each catwalk the jury will ask the designers questions and give their feedback. This will allow the audience to get to know the designers more and the motivations behind their designs.[7]

The Isis Fashion Awards has a strong emphasis on discovering and encouraging talent, supporting visionary designers and their ideas. During IFA designers are able to showcase 12 types of fashion accessory items.[8]
