Rudy Rupak has always been a keen music fan for the longest time but he hid his desire to be a musician due to his strict parents discouraging him from doing so. Now in his mid 50s, he is not a bit concerned about the optics of starting a band at such a later stage in life. His band, The BabaKool Collective, represent various music, genres and styles and languages as Rudy composes music in English, Bengali, Hindi and most recently Farsi as well. Some of his songs are original compositions such as the (And I Kid You Not) new age rock song LET THEM. Most of his songs are covers of existing hits redone in a different language.

When he first started composing music to accompany his digital comic book “Age of Fire” which included the song “Who cares about you Future (if they can’t look past your past)” Who Cares About Your Future (If They Can’t Look Past Your Past) by Rudy Rupak.

Rudy Rupak’s most recent project Badmaash is a recomposition using Indian instruments of the classic RnB hit Iko-Iko. What’s unique about this song is its innovative AI generated music video in which Rudy gets classical iconic Bollywood icons such as Gabbar Singh and Mr. India who actually sing Rudy’s song in their own voices. The result is both hilarious and profound but the purpose behind it is actually savvy. “I’m using it to promote my company HotDub.ai and Soundimage.ai” says Rupak.

Hotdub allows filmmaker to be able to create an instant dubbing of their content from one language to other without the need of using ADR (Additional Dialoge Recording), schedule actors, studio time, engineers, or dubbing artist, etc. With Hotdub, content creators can concentrate really on uploading contents to the languages they want and within a day, the company can provide an output in multiple languages which can then we use to create a master track so the company can released in different languages. HotDub is expected to be lunch in the first quarter of 2024 along with the music video Badmaash. Here’s the clip and preview

Rudy Rupak’s other song is called “Let Them”. It’s a very unique composition which start with a new age feel and then quickly evolves into a hard rock and metal ballad. Rudy composes this song using electronic instruments and sampling. The music video Let Them is currently in progress and promises too be equally innovative and out there. It involves a Japanese-Hindu performance singing his original composition. The song is currently being mixed and the video is currently in production.
