Mohd. Nasarruddin bin Ahmad (born 3 February 1960) was an experienced teacher. He is known as for creating Peta Minda Visual Sains. He was born in Parit Kadzi, Muar, Johor. He had married twice, and raises 5 children.

Background

Mohd. Nasarruddin Ahmad was born at Parit Kadzi, Muar, Johor. He is the sixth out of 9 siblings. His parents are Ahmad bin Long and Zenab bt Abd Aziz.

Education

He started his early education at SK Ismail (2), Muar in 1967. Then he continued his secondary schooling at Muar High School in 1973. He went on to pursue higher education at Swansea College, Wales, UK starting in 1977. In 1980, he continued his studies at the University of Leeds, England in Chemistry course. In 1983, after he graduating from UK, he returned to Malaysia and continued his studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in the field of Diploma in Chemistry and Physics Education. Later, he continued his studies at the University of Malaya in 1990 in course of Master of Education - Computer in Education.

Career

In 1984, he started his career as a teacher at Dato' Sri Amar Diraja Secondary School, Muar. In 1990, he is on teaching leave to pursue a Master of Education course at UM for 2 years. In 1992, he returned to teaching career at Maktab Perguruan Batu Pahat. At the end of 1997, he stopped working with the Ministry of Education and started working in Brunei as a contract teacher at the beginning of January 1998. He was working at Sekolah Menengah RIPAS, Tutong, Brunei for 2 years. On September 2000, he returned to Malaysia and became an agent of Takaful Malaysia Company in Tangkak Branch at Muar. Finally, in January 2004, he returns to teaching career at SMA Lughatul Quran, Kesang Tasek, Sg. Mati, Muar. He was working at SMALQ for over 16 years until his retirement on February 3, 2020.

Personal life

He married twice, and he raises 5 children. In 1982, he first married to Nor Izzah Ismail when he was still studying at England. He later raises 3 daughters. But they were divorced in 1991. However, the following year, in June 1992, he married for a second time with Nor Wahida Abd. Wahid and raises a son and a daughter. He is now living at Kampung Baru, Jalan Bakri, Muar, Johor.

Award and achievement

After more than 30 years of service in the teaching career, he finally received the SABK Outstanding Service award of Johor State 2017 which was held at SMKA Pagoh on 24 April 2018.
