History

Cloudtailor started operations in January 2021, in Hyderabad, India. Sushmita Lakkakula, one of the founders, started it as a response to her bad experiences with tailors. The entire process of placing an order, and following up for dress stitching on time became a regular pain point. Over time she realised that this wasn’t just their problem - it was every woman’s. During the Covid19 global pandemic, the fashion industry went through accelerated adoption of contactless ways of shopping and interacting with digital interfaces. Some of the major disruptions happened with 'Work From Home' which changed the outlook, business requirements and consumer behaviour across the world. Cloudtailor is built on an ‘Offline-Online’ model for order creation and fulfilment. They have replicated the current manner in which customers place orders so that the behavioural change is seamless. The platform is operated through Machine Learning that helps the users shorten the decision cycle and provides a guaranteed delivery cycle for orders.
