The Smash AD is an electro-optical sighting system designed to be added to man-portable military rifles, to greatly enhances a marksman's ability to target and bring down unmanned aerial vehicles.[1] The AD in the name is short for "anti-drone".

The system is designed and manufactured by the Israeli company Smart Shooter, and is sometimes called the "Smart Shooter Smash AD", even though Smart Shooter offers other products.[2]

The system can be mounted to just about any man-portable firearm, and versions exist to mount to light vehicles, that enable a gunner to control the weapon remotely.[2]

The system has sensors that can recognize when the shooter is aiming at a moving target.[2] The shooter depresses a button on the barrel with a finger from his non-trigger hand, to activate the system, then presses and holds the trigger when he has acquired the target. The Smash system will delay firing, until the ideal conditions are met, for a "one shot, one hit" firing.
