Born and raised in Baliapal, a small town in the Balesore district of Odisha, Ratikant has overcome numerous challenges to establish himself in the entertainment industry. Early Life and Background

Ratikant Kamila was born on April 16, 1991, in Baliapal, Odisha, into a middle-class Hindu family. He was the youngest of six siblings and grew up in a modest household. From a young age, Ratikant showed a keen interest in the arts, creating sculptures and drawings. Although he initially aspired to pursue fine arts, financial constraints prevented him from receiving formal training in the field. After completing his primary education at Sabitri High School in Katisahi, Ratikant went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Subarana Rekha (S.R) Mahavidyalaya in Baliapal. However, his true calling for acting emerged when he moved to Bangalore in search of employment. While in Bangalore, Ratikant was drawn to acting after watching a play, which ultimately led him to enroll in the National Academy of Cinema and Television (NACT) in Bangalore.

Career

Ratikant Kamila's journey in the entertainment industry began after completing a three-year course in Acting and Filmmaking at NACT. In 2014, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his acting career and faced numerous challenges before landing his breakthrough role in the DD National television series "Aisa Prem Kahaan." He played the lead negative role in the series, which ran for 425 episodes from 2014 to 2015. This marked the beginning of his successful career in television. Since then, Ratikant has appeared in various television programs, including "Akbar Birbal," "Chandra Nandini," "Ishq Mein Marjawan," "Mari Hanikarak Biwi," "Vikram Beetal," and many more. His talent and versatility have enabled him to portray diverse characters across different genres. Additionally, he has worked in Bollywood films such as "Sarkar Raj 3" directed by Ram Gopal Varma and "Mumbai Saga" directed by Sanjay Gupta. He has also been a part of Bhojpuri films like "Tu Hi To Meri Jaan Hai Radha 2." Apart from his work in mainstream cinema and television, Ratikant Kamila has a YouTube channel called BR International Film Production, where he shares his short films and life experiences. Some of his notable short films include "Hiranyakahyap," "Selfie Ghost," "Bhookh," and "Turn Around."

Ratikant Kamila's talent and dedication have earned him several accolades and recognition in the industry. He was honored with the Sabitri-Gangadhar Das Prativha Sanman in 2019, presented by the Anand Social Welfare Society and Sarthi Welfare Society in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. His short film "Hiranyakahyap" received the Best Dialogues award at the International Short Film Festival Pune (ISFFP) in 2017. Additionally, his work has been selected for prestigious film festivals such as the Fake Flesh Film Fest (FFFF) in Columbia and les Films de la Toile (lFDLT) in Paris.
