Controversies
Since its inception, Peachy Essay has been subject to a number of controversies pertaining to that company's offerings - highlighting their approach to ‘cheating the educational system.’
In October 2021, YouTube deleted videos from Peachy Essay Channel under their "harmful content" policy, following a BBC investigation that revealed substantial marketing of an essay-writing business as a tool for children to cheat at school. In the same year, the Financial Times published an article by Chris Cook criticizing Peachy Essay, seeking to blame corporations like Peachy Essay for the poor status of higher education. Peachy Essay was also de-platformed from TrustPilot's website in 2021, which resulted in the company losing a decade's worth of reviews as well as a significant source of traffic and testimonies.
Apart from that, Paypal also withdrew its services banning Peachy Essay and similar platforms from its portals when Education Secretary Damian Hinds called on PayPal to stop processing payments for essay-writing firms selling to university students in an attempt to combat academic dishonesty.
