Lieutenant Colonel David Ginn was born in Hobart, Indiana, on 29 November 1981. He graduated from Rutherford High School in May of 2000. He began his initial enlistment, in the United States Army Reserves, assigned to 495th Transportation Company, Lakeland, Florida. While at the rank of SPC, MAJ Ginn received an ROTC scholarship, from Florida Southern College, in Lakeland, Florida. In April of 2005, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in computer science, minoring in mathematics, from Florida Southern College. MAJ Ginn received his commission, into the Regular Army, as a Transportation Officer. He was subsequently assigned to the 594th Transportation Company, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In July 2006, he deployed to Iraq as a platoon leader, logging thousands of miles, as a Convoy Commander, traversing the most dangerous roads in the world.

Upon completion of his deployment, MAJ Ginn redeployed to Fort Sam Houston, Texas, where he began the Interservice Physician Assistant Program. Two grueling years later, he earned a Master’s Degree, in Physician Assistant Studies, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. One month after passing his medical boards, MAJ Ginn was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment, which was forward deployed to Karbala Province, Iraq.

Upon returning from deployment, he transferred to Martin Army Hospital, Fort Benning, GA, where he served as a Physician Assistant in Warrior Medicine. In July 2013, MAJ Ginn left the Regular Army and became the 23rd WMD-CST’s Physician Assistant. Due to his son’s medical issues, he was forced to leave the Virgin Islands, transferring to 48th Infantry Brigade of the Georgia National Guard, where he served as the brigade’s Senior Physician Assistant.

Desiring to continue in the AGR program, MAJ Ginn joined the 42nd WMD-CST in Greenville, North Carolina, where he served as their Physician Assistant.
