I am Dr. Mahmudul Hasan Mithun. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University since August2022

  1. I have always been passionate about my career goals. Since my childhood, I have developed an insatiable desire to pursue my career in the medical field, especially in the teaching profession to serve the people of our country.

After completing my SSC and HSC from TGBHS and NDC , this passion led me to get admitted into Dhaka Dental College.

  1. I am hard working and enjoy accepting challenges. From an early age, I have seen my father struggling to give me the best education possible.

His hard work and perseverance have inspired me to strive for success in all aspects of my life. I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. After two years of hectic hard work, I became a BCS cadre and joined govt. job in 2013. Then I passed FCPS part -1, followed by my admission in MS. I have completed my post graduation in first attempt with the blessings of the almighty and my teachers, seniors, juniors and my family members.

I still remember my father's proud face beaming with joy when I became the first BCS cadre in our lineage abd he breathed his last in 2015 with a peaceful heart.❤❤


Teaching is something more than a profession to me. I enjoy teaching. It is a rewarding job while takes a great responsibility. I become both emotional and proud when I find my students are shining and achieving their career marks.

As Maxillofacial care is a growing industry and oral problems are becoming common among all sections of society, being a teacher in this field has a lot of prospects. First of all, I am getting the opportunity to educate the young aspirants and help them enable in the field. Secondly, i am serving directly to the patients and finally performing research works on the causes and treatments of the diseases in a cost-effective way.

Now I am at a point in my life where I can now give back and help to make a difference in the lives of people who are walking in my shoes. I know that the issues, and concerns I am dealing with patients as well as students on a daily basis is different and challenging, and I look forward to stretching myself to continue to research and learn new things. All of my experience and the completion of my MS degree have prepared me well for this step in my career.

I have developed the skills required and look forward to applying these skills in this prestigious institution. Apart from learning the basics, I have always tried to explore the use of advanced techniques and surgical instruments in thr field of dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery.
