He holds a Doctorate in Education Leadership and Administration from Saint Thomas University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was a Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive Fellow. He has also received training at the Central Intelligence Agency University and the Foreign Service Institute for Leadership and Management.
