Arlet Gomez is a Cuban born contemporary artist based in Florida, United States.

Life and career

Gomez started painting as a child. She later attended "Escuela Profesional de Arte Samuel Feijóo" in Santa Clara, Cuba, graduating in 2004. In 2009, Gomez graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Arts of Cuba in Havana.[1]

Gomez specializes in contemporary two-dimensional artwork. She has had eight solo exhibitions and participated in over twenty select group shows. Her art has been showcased in Cuba, Mexico, Italy, Denmark, Portugal, and United States.[2][3][4][5]

In 2010, Gomez started the "Otras Mirandas" (Other Views) project, which introduced a Pictorial System patented by her to teach blind people to paint. Featuring art exhibitions with paintings that can be touched and read in Braille.[6][7][8][9]
