Reasons Why You Should Or Should Not Snapchat Your Crush

Snapchat is one of the social media platforms out there that many people use. It has existed for a very long time in relative to other apps that have come and gone such as the original flappy bird. Everyone loves to use Snapchat, and one of the reasons why this is because Snapchat allows you to add people labelled as friends onto your account so that you can watch a story on them posted on their account or their friends. Although this is great and all, Snapchat has become just a way to see other people’s stories if you are not friends with them. It is very rare to get an opportunity to make friends with your Snapchat adds, especially as more and more people are practicing safety and are just using Snapchat to fill up their snap map and to have something to do when it comes to viewing other people’s snaps. In addition to this, people who do ‘communicate’ with the rare unknown on Snapchat use their communication more in regards to keeping streaks which there is nothing wrong with. It is uncertain from a general point of view whether you should snapchat your crush or not as it depends on your existing relationship with him or her, as Snapchat provides a low-pressure way to connect and flirt, insights into your crush’s interest level, showcase your personality, build rapport. However, appearing desperate, trying to go deeper, false assumptions and unflattering content are reasons why you should not snapchat your crush.

One of the reasons why you should snapchat your crush is because of the low-pressure and casual way to connect and flirt in comparison to other social media. Snapchat offers an easier way to connect with crush. If the idea of sending cute, adorable, fun-looking snaps with your crush does not give you the atmosphere ideation that Snapchat provides a low-pressure and more casual way to connect and flirt with your crush, I do not know what will. If you have that sort of atmosphere with your crush in which short, casual conversations about non-sensical things are made possible, Snapchat is a good way to build that connection as to make room for the ability to have less casual and more high-pressured conversations with your crush in person as you build upon the connection you already have. For this reason, if you have that type of relationship with your crush, you should definitely snapchat your crush to connect in a low-pressure and casual way.

Another reason to snapchat your crush is to gauge your crush’s interest level and feelings towards you. With tools that Snapchat provides such as Stories and the allowance of quicker responses with less brutal consequences, Snapchat could be an exciting and interesting way to gauge your crush’s interest level and feelings towards you. If they tend to view your story more on the quicker side independently data collected and also in comparison to how quick they view other people’s stories, then it might represent their interest and fascination with seeing more of you and what you like to post, including the side of you that is represented in your post. This may help you not only with knowing if you are or are not to move on just yet from your crush, but also what they like to see from you and their interest level and feelings towards you so that you can plan and execute a love story between you and your crush. For example, if they view your snapchats quite fast and respond just as fast, they truly do enjoy being around you and it might help you on what to do next to find out the extent of their enjoyment being around you.

A reason to snapchat your crush is to help showcase your personality, humor, and authenticity to your crush in an engaging way. That way if whether they reject you or adore you, they will know exactly what they are getting into when they say yes or no to the question of if they like you or if they see a short-term future with you at the basic level. It might even convert them into a solid friend. Either way, no matter the response, you are sure to have fun showcasing your personality, humor, and who you truly are to your crush as you eagerly wait for their response and reply to how they feel about who you are on a more deeper level. It is always good to be yourself, but sometimes irl situations does not quite help one to show the best sides of their personality as much as showcasing how much you really spend time with your pet such as a dog or a cat or a hamster and how much your dog that you do not normally take to the mall brings out your outdoorsy, fun side that can not and could not be shown when needed to be indoors, working on something such as a project and a task.

The last reason to snapchat your crush is to help gradually build up a snapchat rapport that can help you build an atmosphere of direct communication and eventually and potentially lead to an in-person date. Friendships take time and energy and wants. It is no secret that it took time for one to get to the level they are now with their closest friends. It probably was not the first day in which you were having one-on-one sleepovers with them, sharing memories that you two had and have had with one another. It took time. It took effort. Energy and wants. This is similar to building a relationship and rapport with your crush. It takes time, energy, effort and wants. If you already have a relationship in which you can talk about more deeper conversations, Snapchat could be a tool you use to gradually build up more rapport more quicker and safer from the normal crowd around you. You could share details about things that you would like to keep between your intimate close circle if your crush qualifies as being just that. Spending more time with your crush might not hurt if you already have the initial and beginning rapport and relationship to do just that. In that case, one could snapchat their crush. However, if one does not have the initial rapport and relationship for that, I would think twice and consider doing something else other than snap chatting someone you barely know about things left for a friend.

A reason not to snapchat your crush is the potential view of coming off as desperate or overbearing. When one does not have the rapport or relationship to begin a relationship with frequent snap chatting, one will come off as overbearing to say the least. It would be better to refrain from snap chatting your crush if this qualifies for you. The last thing you want your crush to see you as is overbearing and or desperate. Constantly snap chatting your crush is not a good idea if you do not have the relationship in which it is absolutely normal for both of you to interact and converse every day 24 hours 7 days a week. Without that rapport, it would almost feel like an unnecessary chore that the crush would probably only engage in for a short period of time to be polite and courteous in their thinking when replying as a chore has nothing to do with politeness or courtesy. It would be better to stay away from snap chatting your crush if you do not have the relationship necessary to engage, and find something else better to do.

Another reason not to snapchat your crush is due to the prevention of developing deeper bonds with them. Relying too heavily on Snapchat to connect with crush equates in reality to having more of an online relationship, which halts an attempt to see each other in person outside of any almost mandate reasons to see each other in person. One could even add that the relationship one would have during those times of almost mandate reasons to see each other in person could and would suffer greatly just because one has turned what was an in-person relationship and connection into that of an online one. Terrible, I know! For this reason, relying too heavily on Snapchat to converse, connect and maybe even flirt is not that much of a good idea, and might be something one might want to refrain from. Do not prevent yourself from developing deeper in person connections with your crush, just because you can’t get enough of them and start conversing more online than anything just so that you spend way more time with them. Instead of doing just that, refrain from snap chatting your crush to the point of over reliance and focus more on what you do have.

One reason not to snapchat your crush is the ambiguity of Snapchat interactions and behaviors. What many people have found with their use of deploying social media and Snapchat in their vessel for communication is the need to wait until they see each other in person to discuss even more on the topic they are talking about to avoid misinterpreting what the other is saying and shifting their relationship in a direction that there is no clear reason for it to go. So many times has misinterpretation of Snapchat interactions lead to a path of negative interactions as something looks like something it is not. With something as delicate and emotional as interacting with your crush on Snapchat, one might want to refrain from talking about things that is not as easy to understand on Snapchat just so that something wrong does not occur. For this reason, one might choose not to snapchat their crush but keep their conversations going in another more fruitful or at least sustainable direction. One does not especially want to misinterpret Snapchat interactions and behaviors in a way that could lead to false assumptions about your crush’s feelings and interest level in interacting and conversing as a unique part of their friend circle. One might not know if their crush wants to talk to them or just wants to hold a conversation with somebody because they are bored and in need of some social contact and interaction. For this reason, one might decide not to interact or snapchat their crush but to keep it going in a clear and transparent direction for both parties involved.

The last reason not to snapchat your crush is due to the consequences and repressions of sharing many personal details or unflattering content on Snapchat in a way that is memorable to your crush. What happens a lot with Snapchat is that one shares something a bit too personal with someone they thought they could trust and it ends up backfiring big time when they realize that that person is not someone that they should be trusting with that level of details. It is always best to be careful when it comes to sharing personal details and balancing your need to share with your need and hopefully want to be safe in this digital age. Not only that, but the idea of sharing too many personal details might also backfire as your crush might get very confused on why the conversation has taken a turn for the personal and sensitive. This may turn your crush off from wanting any contact with you, so please be safe when doing so. Choosing to be more self-aware and alert about sharing details might be a better approach when it comes to your snapchat usage and conversing with your crush on Snapchat.

In conclusion, there are reasons why you should snapchat your crush such as the casual atmosphere, features, personality introduction inspired engagement and rapport building. Then, there are reasons why you should not snapchat your crush such as coming off desperate, over reliance of Snapchat, misinterpretations and backfiring brought about by sharing too many personal details. For this reason, one must do an overview of how close they truly are to their crush before even considering interacting with them.
