Chapter 1: Roots in London

Born and raised in London to Indian parents, my upbringing was imbued with a rich tapestry of cultural influences. Growing up in a bustling metropolis like London provided me with a diverse and dynamic environment, where I learned to appreciate the myriad of cultures and traditions that coexist harmoniously.

Chapter 2: Journey to America

Chapter 2: Journey to America At the age of 11, my life took a significant turn as my family and I embarked on a journey across the Atlantic to the United States. Moving to America presented both challenges and opportunities, as we adjusted to a new way of life while holding onto the values instilled in us from our Indian heritage. Despite the initial adjustments, this transition laid the foundation for the next chapter of my life.

Chapter 3: Academic Pursuits and Legal Career

My academic journey in the United States began at Nassau Community College, where I completed my A.A. Degree. Fueled by a drive for excellence, I was honored to be awarded the Presidential Transfer Scholarship to St. John’s University, where I pursued and obtained my B.S. degree in Criminal Justice. During my time at St. John's University, I distinguished myself academically, achieving the prestigious status of Magna Cum Laude and earning a place on The National Dean's List for the academic year 2005-2006. Eager to further my education and pursue a career in law, I continued my studies at St. John’s University School of Law, where I earned my Juris Doctor degree in 2010. My time at St. John's University School of Law not only equipped me with the necessary legal knowledge and skills but also instilled in me a commitment to integrity, justice, and service to the community. Upon entering the legal profession, I initially ventured into Collection law. However, it didn't take long for me to realize that my true calling lay elsewhere. In 2014, I took a leap of faith and embarked on my solo career, establishing my own law firm, Preet Chhabra, P.C. Since then, I have dedicated myself to focusing exclusively on Immigration Law, with a particular emphasis on marriage-based and family-based green cards, as well as naturalization petitions.

Chapter 4: Clientele and Future Aspirations

My legal practice is not only a career but a vocation guided by a desire to serve my community. While I tailor my services to Indian/Pakistani clientele as well as Asians, my client base is diverse, reflecting the multicultural fabric of America. As I look towards the future, I am eager to expand my practice and reach more individuals who are seeking guidance and assistance in navigating the complex landscape of immigration law. My goal is to weave out the noise and connect with clients who are genuinely seeking to sponsor their fiancé or spouse, parents, children, or those looking to embark on the journey towards naturalization. With a commitment to excellence and a dedication to upholding the rights of immigrants, I am poised to continue making a meaningful impact in the field of Immigration Law.
