Taiwan, East China Sea, and conflicting sovereignty claims over the Senkaku Islands.

The Senkaku Islands are a chain of small uninhabited islands in the East China Sea.[1] The waters surrounding the islands are believed to contain valuable deposits of oil and natural gas, and ownership of the islands has been disputed. China, Taiwan and Japan have all asserted sovereignty over the islands.
