Loafer is a fictional character from the Transformers series. He is an Autobot Headmaster released in Japan in 1987. His toy was later reproduced by a Chinese company in an unlicensed set of Headmasters.

Transformers: Generation 1

Loafer is a Headmaster warrior from the planet Master.

In the unlicensed 2011 TFcon mini-comic he is depicted as having vehicle mode similar to that of Chromedome.

Reception

Loafer was named the 27th top unfortunately named Transformer by Topless Robot. [1]

Animated series

Although Loafer did not appear in the Transformers: The Headmasters animated series, some characters shared his body design with different colors in episodes #28 "Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2)" and #31 "Operation: Destroy the Decepticons."

In the TV Magazine prolog to Masterforce Loafer and the other Headmaster warriors were trained by Chromedome and his Headmasters.

TFcon comics

Loafer appeared in the unlicensed mini-comic released for the 2011 TFcon, called "Changes in War". Set on the planet Master before the events of Transformers: The Headmasters Loafer is killed by Toxin, who steal his transtector. Loafer's Transtector is depicted as a blue recolor of Chromedome with Hardhead's rifles.[2]

An original mold, Loafer could turn into a head that fit the Generation 1 Headmaster bodies. This toy was a Japanese exclusive.
