Himed went up for preorder in December 2015, with an expected release date of late December 2015.

Himed was released in February 2016

Reception

The Retro Robot Radio show for January 24th, 2016 discussed Maketoys Contact Shot, Himed, Ironwill and Katana in the news.

Fiction

Himed appears in the Maketoys story Nameless Planet, where he is called Himedic. In the story Himedic is a member of the Shensin. He and Sonic Drill help a group of refugees who landed on their planet with repairs.
