Retcon, short for Retroactive continuity is a term that refers to a new piece of storyline changing a previously depicted/established fact of the storyline.
Examples
- In the United States, the Transformers lines Armada, Energon, and Cybertron formed what was known as the "Unicron Trilogy." In Japan Cybertron's equivalent series, Galaxy Force, was initially considered a separate continuity from the previous two series, but this was later changed.
