Description
OKUBI is a fast-paced PvP combat game developed by Grym Games. The game is intended for PC. OKUBI blends intense battles across various arenas and battlegrounds where players can visit vibrant social hubs, customize their character's build and queue up for their next match to climb through the ranks.

Universe
Players take on the role of a Remnant, descendants of an ancient special force that once fought Okubi’s invasion, settling the rivalry between the two most powerful kingdoms of the galaxy. Following these events, Remnants displayed unusual abilities and unimaginable strength at birth, as their forefathers were exposed to the radiation of Gorium, the source of all energy.
Considered a threat to society, all Remnants were pushed into exile and forced into slavery, used as Gladiators to settle conflicts between galactic empires. These matches became popular among the lower classes, drawing crowds from all around the galaxy to watch Remnants fight.
Many years have passed, and Remnants are still feared by governments but loved by the crowds. The Intergalactic Union decided to create a tournament rewarding the strongest Remnants with the only thing that matters—freedom.
Gameplay
In Okubi, players will have to master the unique abilities of their Remnant to progress through a competitive ranking system. Engage in quick matches of unique game modes against other players, acquire powerful upgrades and items, and compete in harder challenges. Gain enough fame from crowds to unlock unique features. In-between matches, players can hang out in one of the many Hubs available in Okubi, where they can socialize, discuss, form groups, craft items, duel other players, pick up quests, and enjoy unique zone mini-games.
Unique Features
While playing Okubi, players can experience the unexpected as Okubi itself may appear on the battlefield, bringing with him destructive procedural events. These events can range from chaotic cataclysms to helpful loot drops. The combat mechanics are inspired by fast-paced Hack N' Slash titles, with finely tuned freedom of movement allowing jumps, dashes, flight, and combos without getting stuck in long, game-stopping animations. Engage in a mix of aerial and ground combat as you deploy your wings to fight in different altitudes. Manage a complete planetary system to extract and process resources even when offline, craft powerful items, collect unique resources, upgrade your character, and trade with other players in a player-driven economy system available at the Galactic Auction House.
Developer
Okubi is being developed by Grym Games, leaded by David Beaulieu. A professional Sound Engineering and Lead Sound Designer that has been working for Rodeo FX for many years. (Rodeo FX is responsible for VFX in titles such as Stranger Things, Blade Runner 2048, The Witcher, Lord of the Rings series, and more). The creator has devoted many years of hard work to bringing the game to life, including designing characters, storyline, combat mechanics, UX, UI, animation, VFX, and all audio aspects.
Despite the challenges of solo game development, the creator is dedicated to delivering a unique and immersive gaming experience. Okubi is almost ready for its first alpha release, with development progressing steadily towards completion. Player tests have been very well received so far. The upcoming alpha release will give players a taste of what to expect from the final product and provide an opportunity for feedback to help refine the game further.
