Filio is an American company specializing in visual asset management software, primarily for the construction industry. Founded in 2018, the company's main product is its construction project management tool, which focuses on streamlining construction tracking and job site documentation through photo management and photo documentation using Artificial Intelligence.[1][2][3]

Overview

Filio was launched within Georgia Tech's Create-X program. The initiative, led by Max Mahdi Roozbahani, Fikret Atalay, and David Frost, a Georgia Tech professor, aimed to address challenges in visual documentation in construction.[4][5]

In November 2019, Filio raised $80,000 in pre-seed funding from Higginbotham.[6]

In January 2020, the company raised another $80,000 in funding from Matrix Investment Holdings, LLC.[6]

Filio's technology has been applied in various post-disaster situations, including the Michigan Dam Failures study and landslide studies in India. These instances underscore the platform’s utility in disaster management and response, leveraging its visual asset management capabilities.[7][8]

The company has engaged in community projects, including a collaboration with Engineers Without Borders at Georgia Tech. This collaboration focused on the Nicaragua Clean Cook Stoves project, which demonstrated Filio’s application in remote monitoring and visual asset management for community development.[9]

Products and services

The company’s main product is a construction photo documentation application that combines digital asset management with mobile GIS data collection, the Filio Data Collector App. It is designed to manage and organize construction-related visual data, enhancing the efficiency of construction project management.[1]

Filio’s visual construction management platform offers features such as construction equipment tracking, inventory management, and asset management tools using photos and videos. The software also includes capabilities for photo reporting, site plans, plan sheets, and construction field reports to aid in construction site documentation.[1]
