History

Egerton Crescent Productions was founded by Charlie Burt and Omar Parker in 2015. They met at Montana State University in a Film 101 class. The company name was chosen based on a street in London Charlie had grown up on, Egerton Crescent. [1]

The company began with short films, twenty five minutes or less in runtime. El Eden, Damiana, Ultraviolet, Mud, and Salta were all award winning short films and international co-productions that were shown at festivals like Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, and Tribeca Film Ferstival. [2] By the late 2010's and early 2020's the company began developing features. [3] Luz, The Burying Party, Arena Wars, Death Count, Space Babes From Outer Space, and many other films were shown at festivals and then shown on streaming services and in stores. [4]

In 2020 the company began to branch out into the digital content space. The first channel was Captain's Log, a channel dedicated to the Star Trek fandom and celebrating the long standing franchise. It reached over 200,000 subscribers and was eventually bought out by a competitor for an undisclosed amount [5]. Around this time the company also began a relocation to Dallas, Texas. In 2023 the company launched the Tumbleweed brand, which has grown several million followers on platforms like Instagram [6] and Tiktok [7], worked with brands like Marriot, Hilton, Warner Brothers Studios, and Dunkin Donuts, and is currently expanding further into the YouTube space.
