Dhaka

Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh and is located in the south-central part of the country, on the eastern banks of the Buriganga River. It's almost surrounded by the waters of the Ganges River delta. Dhaka is the largest city in Bangladesh and the Bengal region, and is considered one of the most densely populated urban areas in the world. As of 2022, Dhaka has a population of 10.2 million residents, and Greater Dhaka has a population of over 22.4 million.
