Zahidur Rahman popularly known as Zahid Abedin is a Bangladeshi Journalist. He was born on August 27, 1979 in Munshiganj District of Dhaka Division of Bangladesh. Zahidur Rahman's first poetry book "Ami O Agmir Duratta" was published in Bangla Academy Book Fair in 2020. He is a member of the "Dhaka Union of Journalists" and editor of the famous Bangla news portal Noyadin-Dot-Com.
From social responsibility, he is serving as the Secretary for the session 2022-23 of Rotary Club of Light House Dhaka under Rotary International District-3281 and has been nominated as the Club President Nominee for the session 2024-25. He is also serving as the Secretary for the session 2022-23 in “Lions Club of Dhaka Bikrampur Town” and for contributing to the field of sports, he is serving as the Joint Secretary of "International Karate Union (IKU) Bangladesh".
With the dream of building a happy and just society, he joined the Bangladesh Welfare Party known as the "Bangladesh Kallyan Party". A party that believes in the spirit of the liberation war and he is currently serving as the Joint Secretary General of the Central Executive Committee.
"Zahidur Rahman" was born, in the noble Sheikh family of West Noapara village of Kukutia Union, Munshiganj (Bikrampur). His late father Joynal Abedin was a socialite and businessman and his mother Rokeya Begum a housewife. He is the youngest among five siblings and the only son of his parents.
He completed his secondary and higher secondary education at KL Jubilee School and College in Old Dhaka. He received Honors and Masters Degree in English Literature from Dhaka International University, Bangladesh. Currently he is pursuing his PhD research at Asian International University, India.
